This years Tommy Thompson Double fours final saw Houghton Dairy Lane play Barnes West End on Hylton Colliery Welfares green. With Dairy lane hot favourites the form book looked to be thrown out of the window as West End's G.Gibson led Houghton's Brian Cain 16-2 after 10 ends while the other game saw Dairy Lane's Gordon Agar lead West End's Peter Brickle 14-6 also after ten ends which left West End 22-16 leaders. 

However if ever their was a game of two halves this was it as Cain completed a terrific comeback to finish 19-16 up while Agar romped to a 26-12 win to ensure more silverware heads to Dairy Lane, the final score was 45-28.
